Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient flow.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments.
- Process insurance claims and manage patient records accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) certified preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting is a plus.
- Current CPR and BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
