Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws efficiently and accurately.
- Verify patient identity and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain patient comfort and confidentiality throughout the collection process.
- Log and label specimens correctly, ensuring proper chain of custody.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work with a high volume of patients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
