Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienists during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and providing post-operative instructions.
- Instrumentation: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and arrange tray setups according to infection control protocols.
- Radiography: Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays (Radiography certification required).
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, update charts, and assist with front desk tasks as needed.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current North Carolina Dental Assistant License (RDH or CDA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, taking impressions, and digital X-rays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as required.
