Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and cleanings.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and organized.
- Take and develop digital and traditional dental X-rays (Radiography certification required).
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and maintaining accurate medical histories.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as necessary.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Current state radiology license in Colorado.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control, and sterilization protocols.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
