Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist dentists during procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays and intraoral photos
- Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms
- Manage patient records and scheduling software
- Provide chairside assistance during complex procedures
- Apply dental materials and temporary restorations
- Deliver post-op instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification (DANB/CODA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in dental imaging software (e.g., Dexis)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA protocols
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid Illinois dental radiography license
