Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays (intraoral and extraoral) following safety protocols.
- Instrumentation: Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, update charts, and schedule appointments accurately.
- Oral Health Education: Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene tips.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA or RDA) is required.
- Licensure: Valid Radiology license (RDHA) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software and modern sterilization techniques.
- CPR: Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient demeanor.
