Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, passing instruments and maintaining a clear field of vision.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, updating charts and maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- CPR and BLS certification required.
