Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments before patient arrival.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with four-handed dentistry.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiography) as required.
- Manage patient records, charting, and insurance verification efficiently.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
- Order and manage dental supplies and inventory.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- CPR and BLS certification (American Red Cross or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
