Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support.
- Take and process dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards per OSHA guidelines.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records accurately, including updating charts and insurance information.
- Order and manage dental supplies and inventory to ensure clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or LDA certification.
- Active Ohio Dental Assistant license.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting (1+ years preferred).
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with patients.
