Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Conditions: Evaluate incoming patients' symptoms via phone and in-person to determine the urgency of care required.
- Prioritize Care: Utilize critical thinking skills to triage patients effectively and manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient medical history, vital signs, and triage notes into electronic health records (EHR).
- Communication: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists to facilitate timely treatment plans.
- Health Education: Provide patients with relevant health advice, medication instructions, and self-care guidance.
- Support Staff: Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment for staff and patients.
- Emergency Response: Coordinate immediate medical attention for patients experiencing acute distress.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and hospital information systems.
- Interpersonal: Empathetic demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
