Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and maintain comfortable treatment environments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Take accurate dental radiographs and maintain digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Perform administrative tasks including patient scheduling and record management
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene best practices
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant certification or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Valid Colorado dental radiography license
