Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and verifying expiration dates.
- Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and processing payments.
- Assist in the compounding of medications and preparation of intravenous solutions.
- Update and maintain patient records in the pharmacy management system.
- Monitor for drug interactions and ensure proper labeling of all medications.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current Virginia State Pharmacy Technician registration.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
