Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and processing insurance claims.
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a comfortable, positive experience.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Current Colorado Dental Assistant license.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor skills.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
