Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and assist with insurance verification.
- Order and manage dental supply inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- CPR/BLS certification valid and up-to-date.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and four-handed dentistry.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
