Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Perform clinical duties including taking and developing dental X-rays (radiographs) and impressions.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Manage patient records and update electronic dental software accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with front office staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and excellent customer service.
- Assist with inventory management and procurement of dental supplies.
Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or equivalent certification.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a general dentistry or specialty practice.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
