Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure strict infection control protocols are followed.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and handle billing inquiries accurately.
- Perform lab duties such as pouring models and creating temporary crowns.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification (DANB) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centric demeanor.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
