Responsibilities
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Radiography: Perform dental radiographic exposures, ensuring proper positioning and high-quality image production for diagnosis.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide post-operative instructions to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies, instruments, and materials to prevent downtime during procedures.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient charts, treatment plans, and medical histories in the practice management software.
Qualifications
- License: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DA license in the State of California.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Skills: Proficient in coronal polishing, four-handed dentistry, and digital radiography.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
