Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize incoming patient calls to determine the urgency of medical needs and appropriate level of care.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations via phone or secure messaging to formulate accurate nursing diagnoses.
- Provide evidence-based triage instructions, including home care management and when to seek emergency services.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow up with patients as directed to monitor condition progression and ensure treatment adherence.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in emergency room, urgent care, or telehealth nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of triage protocols, pathophysiology, and clinical decision-making.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (EMR) and computer navigation.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in high-stress situations.
