Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient 4-handed dentistry.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols.
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) accurately and safely.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and prepare consent forms.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Order and inventory dental supplies to ensure the clinic is always fully stocked.
- Greet patients warmly and ensure a comfortable waiting experience.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA, RDA, or NHA) and valid state radiology license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
- High level of organization and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred but not required.
