Responsibilities
- Prepare patients and exam rooms with sterilized equipment
- Assist dentists during procedures including impressions and restorations
- Take and develop digital dental radiographs
- Manage infection control protocols and OSHA compliance
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling and charting
- Educate patients on post-procedure care
- Maintain equipment calibration and sterilization logs
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA preferred
- 2+ years clinical experience in general dentistry
- X-ray certification (CA State Board)
- Strong knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Excellent chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Valid California driver's license
