Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring 4-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, charting, and insurance information accurately.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Order and maintain dental supplies and inventory.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program (or equivalent experience).
- Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification or state license.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
