Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures using advanced digital imaging systems and treatment units
- Prepare patients for treatments with sterilized equipment and instruments
- Manage digital records using practice management software (e.g., Dentrix)
- Take accurate dental radiographs using modern digital sensors
- Ensure operatory sterilization protocols exceed OSHA standards
- Provide chairside assistance during complex restorative procedures
- Manage inventory of premium clinical supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Louisiana
- 2+ years of clinical experience in private practice
- Mastery of digital radiography and impression techniques
- Experience with practice management software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Exceptional infection control knowledge
- Strong communication skills for patient education
