Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient appointments.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed by the dentist.
- Instruct patients on post-operative and general oral health care instructions.
- Perform infection control procedures, including sterilization and disinfecting of equipment.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records accurately.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program.
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Valid Texas dental assisting license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
