Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Post payments and adjustments in EHR systems
- Investigate and resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Communicate effectively with providers and patients regarding billing inquiries
- Generate monthly reports on revenue cycle metrics
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Certification (CPC, CCS, or CPC-A) preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
