Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments before and after procedures.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient records, update dental charts accurately, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Qualifications
- Current valid state license or certification as a Dental Assistant (RDA/DA).
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical dental setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix, OpenDental).
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to work well under pressure and collaborate effectively within a team.
