Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Perform 4-handed dentistry during examinations and procedures under the dentist's supervision.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization protocols and OSHA compliance standards.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop digital X-rays accurately.
- Charting & Admin: Update patient records, track treatment plans, and manage scheduling.
- Operatory Maintenance: Ensure treatment rooms are clean, stocked, and organized for efficiency.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Indiana Dental Assistant license (RDA) or eligibility to obtain one.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar practice management software.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift equipment safely.
