Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and root canals
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision and patient comfort
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for seamless clinical workflow
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures
- Perform chairside assistance with suctioning, retraction, and material handling
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Support front desk operations including scheduling and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or Pennsylvania license
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in dental radiography (DANB or equivalent)
- Proficiency in digital imaging software (e.g., Dexis, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume practice
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
