Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and cleanings with precision and efficiency.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization protocols and safety regulations for all instruments and surfaces.
- Imaging: Perform and process dental X-rays and digital images accurately.
- Patient Care: Guide patients through their visit, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and understanding.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, select necessary instruments, and organize materials before procedures.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update health histories, and schedule appointments as needed.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and treatment area.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-issued dental assisting license required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- CPR: Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting patients or equipment.
- Attitude: Professional demeanor with a compassionate approach to patient care.
