Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by preparing them for procedures, explaining treatment plans, and providing post-operative instructions.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Dental Radiography: Perform and process digital X-rays and intraoral photographs accurately.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient charts, update records, and handle appointment scheduling to ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred) or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Licensure: Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification or RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) license.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and modern dental equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
