Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments/equipment
- Manage patient charts and digital records using Dentrix/Epic systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for optimal workflow efficiency
- Provide chairside assistance during procedures and post-operative care instructions
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply organization
Qualifications
- Active DANB certification or Arizona Dental Assistant license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sidexis) and dental software
- CPR/BLS certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays (1-2/month)
