Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and relaxation throughout their visit.
- Preparation & Sterilization: Properly prepare operatories, sterilize and disinfect instruments, and prepare materials for treatments.
- Imaging: Take and develop dental x-rays (radiographs) following strict safety protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, update charts, and prepare treatment plans as directed.
- Infection Control: Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a sterile and safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB certification is preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is a plus, but we are willing to train enthusiastic candidates with strong clinical aptitude.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is highly desirable.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform fine motor skills.
- License: Current CPR and BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required.
