Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable and positive dental experience.
- Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and sanitation standards for all instruments and equipment.
- Record Keeping: Manage patient records, update charts, and prepare treatment plans accurately.
- Lab Work: Fabricate temporary crowns and assist with impressions as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification or registration in Virginia is preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a dental setting is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Licensure: Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
