Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgery
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Provide chairside assistance with advanced dental technologies
- Deliver patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Coordinate seamless patient flow and appointment scheduling
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA preferred) from accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- CPR/BLS certification and X-ray license (California Board)
- Mastery of infection control and OSHA compliance standards
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional patient communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent with continuing education credits
