Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to infection control protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and patient comfort
- Manage patient flow, schedule coordination, and digital chart documentation
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Certification in CPR and dental radiography
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Exceptional chairside assisting skills for complex procedures
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and sterilization protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
