Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, crowns, and root canals
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
- Provide chairside support and patient education
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix software
- Coordinate treatment schedules and optimize patient flow
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging
- Expertise in infection control and sterilization protocols
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
