Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Prepare and maintain sterilized instruments and equipment following OSHA protocols
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure diagnostic image quality
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and digital record systems (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide under dentist supervision
- Provide chairside assistance and patient education on oral hygiene
- Manage inventory ordering and supply chain logistics
Qualifications
- CDA or RDA certification required (District of Dental Assistant license)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in high-volume clinical settings
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
