Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in diverse clinical settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per facility protocols
- Document patient assessments and progress accurately in EMR systems
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards
- Participate in emergency response and code blue procedures as needed
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications (PALS/NRP for pediatrics)
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
