Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies efficiently
- Provide exceptional patient education and comfort measures
- Coordinate scheduling and communicate with insurance providers
- Maintain HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and dental software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Strong interpersonal skills with patient-first mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Tennessee dental radiology permit (if applicable)
