Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation, suctioning, and patient monitoring
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging technology
- Perform infection control protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Manage patient scheduling, recall systems, and digital chart documentation
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative and cosmetic procedures
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Kentucky
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control expertise
- Positive attitude with commitment to patient-centered care
