Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting during dental procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols strictly
- Manage patient records and digital scheduling systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments efficiently
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-care instructions
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
Qualifications
- Current New Mexico Dental Assistant License or eligibility
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience preferred
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and infection control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
