Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Handle patient scheduling, insurance verification, and chart documentation
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
