Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and endodontics
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Take accurate dental X-rays and manage digital imaging systems
- Perform patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment
- Coordinate scheduling and handle patient communication with empathy
Qualifications
- Current Ohio Dental Assistant or Radiology certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
- Ability to multitask in high-volume environment
