Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Manage patient education on oral hygiene and treatment protocols
- Operate digital radiography systems and sterilize instruments per OSHA standards
- Maintain accurate digital patient records and inventory management systems
- Coordinate seamless patient flow between examination rooms and treatment areas
- Prepare treatment rooms with specialized equipment and materials
- Assist in emergency dental situations with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- Current Oregon Dental Assistant certification and radiology license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Mastery of digital imaging (Dexis, Sirona) practice management software
- CPR certification with current BLS credentials
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Commitment to continuing education in dental technologies
