Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment while maintaining OSHA compliance
- Manage patient records using digital practice management software
- Take accurate dental radiographs and perform chairside assistance
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide oxide monitoring (with certification)
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
- Deliver exceptional patient education and post-procedure care instructions
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer (DAR) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience
- Certification in nitrous oxide monitoring (DAANCE preferred)
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create patient rapport
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Current CPR/BLS certification
