Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms with instruments, materials, and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of sterilization.
- Assist the dentist during patient examinations and procedures, providing chair-side support.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Explain post-operative instructions and oral health care procedures to patients.
- Manage patient records and update dental charts accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as a Dental Assistant (RDA or DA) is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and sterilization protocols.
- Proficient in using dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting.
