Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to ensure strict hygiene standards.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and documenting treatment plans.
- Greet patients and guide them through their check-up process to ensure a smooth experience.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant License (or eligible to obtain one).
- Valid radiography certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
