Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient examinations and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to established sterilization protocols.
- Take and develop digital X-rays and intraoral photos as directed.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and manage supply orders.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of all patients throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification in California.
- Valid California Dental Board license.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry setting (1+ years preferred but willing to train motivated candidates).
- Strong communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
