Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
- Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist with four-handed dentistry, handpieces, and suctioning.
- Imaging: Perform and process digital X-rays (intraoral and panoramic) accurately.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
- Preparation: Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures.
- Administrative: Manage patient recall, charting, and insurance verification as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program preferred, but experience candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DA (Dental Assistant) license in California.
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in 4-handed dentistry, impression taking, and fluoride application.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and ability to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.
