Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms prior to procedures.
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Take and develop dental X-rays and digital images as directed.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and handle insurance verification.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards at all times.
- Greet patients, ensure comfort, and explain post-treatment care instructions.
Qualifications
- Valid NY State Dental Assistant License.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., OpenDental, Dentrix).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
