Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments with chairside support.
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following safety protocols.
- Manage patient records, appointments, and insurance information accurately.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant license in North Carolina (DA license required).
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in a dental office preferred but not required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
